MAKING THE PROMO

It’s a bit like putting the cart before the horse, but you can’t sell a show without a promo. This turned out pretty slick, but if you want to know the reality, it involved shooting in about 5ft of lounge room (hastily hung with as many blankets up as possible to get rid of excess light), a total of 40minutes to shoot (2hrs would have been nice) and an irate film director who’s decided she likes still photography much more, as there is more freedom than being stuck on a stupid slider insisted upon by the opinionated actor. This is one of those times being husband and wife doesn’t necessarily work in our favour. He is the filmmaker, I am the photographer. Who gets the say? Luckily we know how to compromise… although I gotta say, the handheld footage looks pretty good!
