SOUND AND MUSIC 1

One of the most exciting things about this show is the opportunity of working with musician Den Hanrahan creating a bespoke soundscape for the show. Mixing art forms, devising on the fly, coming together to create… that’s what it’s all about, right? This week saw us having our first read through while Den riffed on his assorted range of delectable, music equipment… I couldn’t have imagined some of the sounds he created if I’d tried, but now I've heard them, I can’t imagine the show without them. Considering this read was a first go through, on the fly, and the room we were in was filled with a resonate, eerie atmosphere that transported us somewhere else entirely… I am beyond excited to see what evolves as we progress. I think the best art comes from creating the space for each other to bring their skills to the table. This table is set with dishes that don’t even belong to the same banquet (much like the hash I’m making of this analogy) - but man when we find the parts that intercept - that’s going to be transformative…
